Grupo Chuisanto Tomas Sector Chicay Group's story
Pascuala, the first from the left in the group photo, is a woman who works hard for her family to have everything it needs. She says that she is very happy with the help of the loan. Pascuala was able to invest in her traditional clothing business and this allowed her business to be more profitable. Now Pascuala is asking for another loan which she will use for her traditional clothing business again so that she better meet the demand that she has now. With the money, she will buy: güipiles, sashes and skirts.
Her big dream is to improve her family's living conditions.

This loan is special because:
It targets low-income borrowers who can't access typical microfinance loans.
ADICLA (Association for the Holistic Development of the Basin of Lake Atitlán) is nonprofit rural community development association that provides small loans and services to improve quality of life in two of the poorest regions of Guatemala, home to large indigenous populations. Kiva funding will be used to support three innovative credit initiatives: youth business loans, green loans, and smaller loans to help ADICLA move down-market and serve poorer clients.
